Mark Fernandes has over 27 years of experience in the cybersecurity field. He currently holds the title of Chief Technology Officer for the Security Portfolio at Micro Focus, where he is responsible for developing advanced cybersecurity solutions for the company's global clients. Mr. Fernandes' expertise includes cybersecurity governance, analytics, darkspace intelligence, advanced threat defenses, and hunting. He and his team have developed market-leading cybersecurity services, including intelligence, outcomes-based analytics, and advanced threat mitigation, among others.

Before joining Micro Focus, Mr. Fernandes worked at various companies in leadership positions. He served as the Group (Global) Technology Officer at Accenture and was the Global Cyber Innovation Leader at Deloitte Canada. Additionally, he was a Partner and Senior Manager at Deloitte Canada, where he managed high-profile security projects for over ten years, including the 2000 U.S. Commission for Presidential Elections.

Mr. Fernandes is certified by various organizations, including CNSS INFOSEC, CISSP, Sun, Check Point, and Cisco. He also holds a Government of Canada Secret Federal Security clearance. Mr. Fernandes has worked in a variety of industries, including energy, defense, financial institutions, healthcare, and government. His expertise includes threat intelligence, counter-adversary, security operations, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

In terms of education, Mr. Fernandes received a BSc in Aerotechnology from Bowling Green State University and studied at St. Peter's and International Baccalaureate.
