Jean Mecorney is a talented digital landscape painter from California. With a degree in Studio Art from the University of California, Berkeley, Jean spent several years working as a graphic designer in various fields before creating her own program at the Cañada College. Her program, Multimedia Art and Technology, focused on color management, photo restoration, digital painting, photography and imaging.

Growing up in California, Jean had a passion for capturing the fleeting moments of the landscapes that flew by her car. She would capture these moments in her head and later translate them to painting through her tablet, stylus and monitor in Corel Painter, Adobe Photoshop, or any other digital tool. Her artworks use reference photographs she took while traveling in cars, planes or trains.

Throughout her career, Jean has held several positions such as Creative Director at Mobile Art Academy and Professor at Cañada College. She has also worked as a Graphic Novel Writer, Photographer/Painter, and Art Lackey at Palmer Films.
