Stefanie Cohen is a passionate health tech product manager who is dedicated to breaking the barriers in the healthcare industry. Her career spans product management, design thinking facilitation, and research and development. She obtained both her Bachelor of Science and her Master of Engineering in Bioengineering from the University of Maryland - A. James Clark School of Engineering. Stefanie honed her skills early on in her career, leading engineering teams at the University of Maryland and serving as a research assistant at A.J. Drexel Plasma Institute. She later morphed into a product manager, starting at Medicrea, where she honed skills in creating customer-centric products. She currently works at AstraZeneca and is passionate about empowering the public to make informed decisions by improving health literacy, enabling access to one's health data, and rewriting healthcare algorithms for a more inclusive patient population. Outside her regular duties, Stefanie served as a membership director at Startup Shell, a teaching fellow, and a peer advisor at the University of Maryland.
