Javier Megias
Javier Megias is an experienced executive, investor, and entrepreneur with expertise in innovation, corporate venturing, and startup development. He holds a computer engineering degree and an AMP from IE Business School, and has completed various courses and programs on financial markets, venture deals, and service management foundations.
As the Startup Program Director at Fundación Innovación Bankinter, Megias manages the venture capital program and spearheads corporate venturing and startup-oriented initiatives. He is also an active business angel investor and advisor to several organizations, ranging from startups to corporates and VC funds. In addition, he has advised the European Commission and acted as a member of the European Committee for Standardization.
Megias is the former Co-Founder of Startupxplore, a leading fintech startup investment platform in Spain, and the former President of Asociación Valenciana de Startups. He has also taught at various institutions, including the Venture Capital Academy at Berkeley Center for Law and Business, and served as a mentor for the Venture Lab at Stanford University.
