Karen Ford is a seasoned freelance journalist, author, and speaker with over two decades of experience in the field. Her work has been published in international, national, and local media outlets, including the Chicago Tribune, Lutheran Woman Today, and Peoples World. In addition, she has contributed to multiple anthologies and maintains a blog, Caviar & Grits, covering topics such as politics, religion, and Chicago history.

As an experienced convention, conference, and meeting planner, Karen is proficient in Microsoft Office and is known for her exceptional administrative and managerial skills. She is a labor activist and organizer and has served as the 3rd Vice President of the National Writers Union, UAW 1981. She is also a recipient of the 2011 International Women's Day Award from the Women's Information Network for Community Service.
