Anthony Vipin Das, FRCS, is a renowned ophthalmologist with a passion for innovative healthcare solutions. As a Consultant Ophthalmologist at the L V Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad, India, he has dedicated his career to improving patient outcomes and the delivery of healthcare services. Dr. Das is an accomplished academic, holding a Master's Degree in Ophthalmology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow and a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the Deccan College of Medical Sciences. He is also a Chevening Fellow from the University of Oxford, where he studied International Relations, Global Policy, and Leadership.

Dr. Das is the visionary behind eyeSmart EMR, an award-winning Electronic Medical Record and Hospital Management system. It is currently operational across the LVPEI network, with over 10 million consults recorded to date. His work has earned several prestigious honors, including the NABARD Award for Rural Innovation 2012 from the Government of India and the Best ICT Initiative 2014 from the Government of Odisha. Dr. Das is celebrated for his incredible ability to use technology to improve healthcare outcomes and is the youngest member of the International Task Force for Emerging Technologies for Teaching and Learning at the International Council of Ophthalmology.

In addition to his medical work, Dr. Das is also a TED Senior Fellow and was named among the Top 35 Innovators under 35 years in the world on the TR35 2012 list by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States. He co-directs the Srujana LVPEI-MITRA Innovation Program with the Camera Culture group from the MIT Media Lab. Before joining LVPEI, Dr. Das served as a Global Insights Network at GE and as a Strategy, Healthcare Innovation at Government of Telangana.
