I completed the 2016 Department of Defence Graduate Program. I was part of the Infrastructure Stream and had rotations in Service Delivery Division in Canberra and Adelaide, as well as a rotation in Capital Facilities and Infrastructure Branch in Canberra.

Elton Consulting specialises and urban and regional planning, communications and engagement, and the provision of strategic and policy advice. During my time with the company I was part of the expansion of the Canberra team.As a Planning Assistant I was responsible for: - statutory planning advice and the preparation of development applications;- preparation of scoping studies, including due diligence reporting, development scenarios and estimating dwelling yields;- community engagement, stakeholder workshop facilitation, and preparation of consultation outcome reports; and - preparation of fee proposals and collating bids for tender submissions.

Planning Assistant

In this role I was predominantly responsible for the provision of statutory planning advice and the submission of development applications. I completed development applications for single dwelling and multi-residential developments, redevelopment of commercial premises, and lease variations. Other projects included the preparation of land studies and planning advice to inform clients of redevelopment opportunities for their existing properties or properties they were considering purchasing. Through this role I gained experience across the ACT's dual planning system of the Territory Plan and National Capital Plan.
