Joshua Sommer, the Vice President of New Growth at Cox Communications, is a dynamic and passionate intrapreneur with a diverse background in high-tech. With experience in components, products, providers, and professional services companies, Sommer has launched over 200 products and services that have generated billions in enterprise value. Sommer's work at New Growth focuses on pursuing disruptive technologies and business concepts to generate new revenue streams for Cox Communications, the largest private telco in the United States. In his innovative role, Sommer leads innovation strategy, new business incubation, and investments. He is also an elected Trustee of the Phi Kappa Theta Foundation and an active mentor for STEM Atlanta Women and the Atlanta TechStars Accelerator. Sommer's expertise includes corporate development and strategy, product strategy/innovation, M2M/connected home/life/city, customer experience management, and more. He is a graduate of San Diego State University and lives in Atlanta with his wife, two daughters, and beagle.
