Ali Jina is an experienced finance professional with over thirteen years of experience in capital markets trading and strategy, investments, capital allocation, portfolio development, systems, infrastructure and reporting systems. With a Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics-Finance and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Ali has worked in both buy-side and sell-side roles dealing with equity, FX, interest rate and credit derivatives, giving him a broad understanding of vanilla and structured derivatives including insurance products with embedded guarantees. His experience spans all major international markets, asset management startups, the world's largest and most experienced pension plans, and most of the Variable Annuity and Equity Indexed Annuity markets. Ali's current interests lie in algorithm development and refinement, risk management, financial systems software development, and modelling.
