Mona Benisi is an experienced sustainability professional with a background in developing and evolving corporate sustainability, environmental and social responsibility strategies at global corporations. She has worked with companies across different sectors in executing initiatives that improve corporate reputation, generate environmental impact, cost savings, and create value. Mona is skilled in influencing people, culture, enabling innovation, and managing change. Her areas of expertise include environmental compliance, energy efficiency, lighting efficiency, renewables and energy storage, building certifications (including LEED, Well and Fitwel), water management, sustainability technology innovations, community and employee engagement strategies. She holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Environmental and Sustainability Studies from Columbia University in the City of New York and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Business from Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm. Mona currently serves as the Executive Director, Global Head of Sustainability Real Assets at Morgan Stanley, and was named on the Environmental Leader 75 List and selected as the winner of the Person of the Year Award in 2018.
