Toby is a highly-educated and experienced adventurer, facilitator, and visionary. A self-created adventurer, Toby founded two service-based businesses, Wild Pup Adventure and Wild Spirit Adventure, both promoting a deep connection with nature and personal growth. Wild Pup Adventures, based in Portland, Oregon, provides dogs with off-leash adventure, specialized training, and adventure boarding. Wild Spirit Adventure offers personalized, nature-based retreats for those in search of spiritual and personal development. With a Masters in Education, Philosophy, and Religious Studies, Toby dedicates her time to supporting personal transformation and healing for individuals in a variety of contexts. Toby has experience as a Wilderness First Responder, Environmental Educator, ropes and challenge course facilitator, and Wilderness Spirituality Guide. Her expertise in a variety of wisdom traditions including Taoist, Jewish, Native American, and Buddhist informs her facilitating approach, which incorporates techniques from psychology, wilderness therapy, and survival. When not working, Toby enjoys backpacking, cycling, foraging, and practicing sumi-e painting. She is also an avid traveler and spends significant time living in and exploring the natural world.
