I founded this education venture in partnership with Kaplan Inc, one of the largest private universities globally. The local team runs the daily operations of the university, with international academic faculty teaching from our campus based in downtown Yangon. Currently, the University has 1,200 students studying for degree and masters’ programs from reputable institutions such as Murdoch University, Teesside University and University of London. I undertake an executive role of making key decisions in our eLearning, Financial and Digital Marketing strategies.

Leveraging on my technology experience, I lead digital, data, development and delivery teams within Singtel's Group Enterprise segment to transform the company's business performance. This is crucial as the global telco industry faces strong headwinds in its traditional carrier business.

Bringing new Ways of Working (WoW) to the organisation, I have experimented Agile, Scrum, Lean methodologies to develop a fast-adapting and growth-driven environment within Singtel. As a keen believer in servant-leadership, I enjoy working with back-end portals, consumer-facing solutions and mobile technologies. This spans across the various Singtel functions including Procurement, Delivery and Sales segments. Our teams also support our subsidiary companies, including NCS and Optus in Australia.

This acquisition was instrumental in Vulcan Post’s growth as media publications struggled to identify a sustainable business model. Some media companies ventured into pay-walled content by charging readers a subscription fee, which greatly reduced their readership in exchange for monthly fee revenue. The Guardian, one of United Kingdom’s largest content publication house, depends on readers' donations even up till today. Through a unique application of the freemium model and a clear identity on “Entertain, Engage, Educate - Creating Meaningful Content”, Vulcan Post continues to be profitable, while growing readership numbers steadily month-on-month.

-  Leading the creation of GrabHitch, the company's first car-pooling service
-  Assisted Head of GrabBike, Indonesia to launch and grow the vertical into the company's biggest service in Jakarta
-  Managed project deliverables of the Beijing R&D Center, which comprises of a team of Android/iOS engineers, QA leads and system architects

As the CEO, my responsibilities are:
- Develop the business strategies in all APAC markets, making sure our User Acquisition (UA) takes into account the needs and peculiarities of each client company
- Lead a team of 4 on-site engineers, 3 overseas engineers, 3 designers, 12 sales personnel and 3 general administrative executives
- Coordinate with stakeholders across the Company to ensure the effective and encouraging adoption of company core values into corporate culture and all of the company’s products and services
- Assist coordination with the Engineering team to plan and develop the product to be delivered to clients

We are the digital way of paying cash, letting consumers make purchases without fear of identity or financial theft and without the restrictions and fees of other payment methods.

Openbucks powers the largest prepaid gift card network in the US and Canada by leveraging on its partnerships with major retailers, offering your customers a safe, anonymous and convenient way to convert cash into gift card payments for online or mobile use. We aim to build the largest digital distribution network in Asia.

The company is invested by former Yahoo-ers Jerry Yang, Terry Semel and Greycroft Ventures and has raised $5.3M.

In 2020, OpenBucks was successfully acquired by PaySafe, a global online payments company with subsidiaries including Skrill and Neteller.

Paysafe aims to leverage Openbucks to expand its cash alternative payment offering in the U.S. by tapping into Openbucks’ technology that allows consumers to pay online without a credit card.

Acquired by SoftBank Corporation, Konami and Singtel, TheMobileGamer (TMG) brings fun and entertainment to under-served feature phone users in emerging markets.

Key Roles include:
- Headed the creation of gaming platform which featured integrated carrier billing with global telecom giants including Maxis (Malaysia), XL, Telkomsel (Indonesia), SMART, Globe (Philippines), AIS (Thailand), Bharti (India).
- Led a team of 20 product managers, UI architect, engineers, designers, community managers across Indonesia and Singapore using agile scrum methodologies
- Oversaw Weekly, Monthly, Annual KPIs to be presented to Investors and Board-of-Directors
- Validated new product features through consumer research and A - B Testing
-  	Developed product requirements including both functional and design specifications
- Own the Quality Assurance (QA) process on Nokia, Samsung testphones

The firm is a Platinum Approved Employer of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and an Authorised Training Employer of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

My key takeaways include:
- Ensured clients' tax compliance with governmental regulatory issues during setting up of subsidiaries in Singapore and other South-east Asia countries.
- 6-week accounting stint here was part of the Practical Experience Requirement as an ACCA-Helmi Talib scholar
- Cultivated crucial analytical skills and the ability to make well-thought-out financial decisions
- Obtained first-hand application of key accounting concepts including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Boosted my start-up learning curve through witnessing both ends of the spectrum:
- 1.) Lean, bootstrapped start-up successfully scaling towards an Initial Public Offering
- 2.) Failure/Strike-off due to poor financial risk management and lack of operational structure whilst over-expanding

ChartNexus is the Bloomberg terminal for retail investors. Proprietary algorithms allow clients to automate their entry prices and stop-loss exits on the global markets including the NYSE, NASDAQ, SSE, HKSE, BSE, ASX, TSE and SGX. The powerful system can be utilised for high-speed equities and forex trading.

My contributions include:
- Managed a portfolio of listed companies consisting of: Malaysia Airports Holdings, Malaysian Airline System, Sunway REIT, TH Plantation, Chip Eng Seng, Perisai Petroleum Teknologi and Star Publications
- Supervised a team of 1 offshore designer, 1 offshore engineer and 1 intern
- Built Investor Relations (IR) department from the ground up to enforce market compliance and introduced a performance management system
- Wrote Analyst Reports on technical analysis and edited investment opinions on SGX, HKSE, NIKKEI, DJIA and NASDAQ
- Conducted product conceptualization, and IR partnership overviews
- Saved 20% in overall company project costs after researching and implementing plan and tier changes; made recommendations that were accepted, to initiate a pay-per-data-bundle plan for the stock charting software
