At Summit, I reimagined systems for managing K-12 state compliance reporting in Washington and California. I did so by designing frameworks and data ETL pipelines that reduced toil in district level operations. I automated highly regular tasks using Airflow, Selenium, and Web APIs. For irregular tasks, I collated reproducible processes using Jupyter Notebooks and SQL queries. I cultivated trust by ensuring critical data flows had layers of validation built in. Bridging the entire design was a commitment to maintaining documentation that outlined the year-round reporting cycle. Underpinning my work was a belief that leveraging industry tools to reduce toil in K-12 compliance offers a rare blend of risk management and forward thinking strategic opportunities. I built pillars robust enough to withstand tectonic shifts in reporting requirements and nimble enough to advance organizational goals.
