SOX Compliance Manager

- Manage a team of up to three staff in executing our client’s SOX compliance program.-Provide real-time performance metric dashboards to the VP of Internal Audit on a regular basis.-Lead weekly meetings with external auditor to provide status updates and discuss action items going forward.-Perform detailed reviews of staff’s testing of internal controls and provide constructive feedback in one-on-one sessions.-Communicate with key process owners on a frequent basis to drive process improvement and increased efficiency. -Assist the VP of Internal Audit in presentations to the Audit Committee.-Complete the mapping of COSO components to the Company's ELC structure, as well as completing the top-down risk assessment.

- Perform SOX compliance reviews for clients by ensuring processes are followed, key controls are performed effectively, and significant risks to financial statements are addressed.-Assist in making processes more efficient by consolidating key controls and processes that cover similar risks.-Communicate with process owners on performance of key controls and make suggestions for improvement.  -Develop programs to update client’s standard operating procedures to improve efficiency.-Assist in presentations to the client’s Audit Committee, as well as assist in the Company’s business development efforts (presentation prep, provide input in strategic meetings, design presentation agenda’s, etc).

- Perform integrated audits for private and public clients, including preparation of SEC filings (Form 10K and 10Q) and review of internal controls under the Sarbanes Oxley Act.-Review of financial statements and footnote disclosures for compliance with GAAP and other governmental regulatory agency requirements.-Perform analytical review procedures through substantive audit procedures over income and balance sheet accounts in order to identify and resolve any significant fluctuations between periods.-Communicate directly with the client on a daily basis to ensure efficient information flow and gain a better understanding of client's accounting policies overall.-Assist managers and seniors on a wide-variety of clients in the software and utility industries, including planning, budgeting, developing, and executing audit programs and procedures.-Assisted in a detailed review of a hardware client involved in the IPO process.
