Carlos Zamora is a Chilean composer and musician with an impressive professional background. He obtained a degree in music education, a bachelor's in composition, and a master's in composition from prestigious universities in Chile. He continued his studies with a PhD in composition from the University of York in England.

Carlos has been a president of the National Association of Composers of Chile and a member of the Council for the Promotion of National Music of the Ministry of Culture. He has taught music at various universities in Chile, including Universidad de Concepción, del Bío-Bío, Mayor, Tecnológica de Chile, and Academia de Humanismo Cristiano. At the latter, he was the head of the Faculty of Arts.

Carlos has performed as a conductor with numerous orchestras worldwide, including the Sinfónica de Concepción, de Antofagasta, de Cámara del Conservatorio-Universidad Austral, Marga-Marga, Filarmónicas de Chile y Temuco, Sinfónica de la Universidad de York, among others. He has also received several awards and recognitions for his compositions, such as the Charles Ives Prize, the Terry Holmes Award, and the Sir Jack Lyons Award, all bestowed by the University of York.

Throughout his career, Carlos Zamora's music has been performed by internationally-renowned musicians and orchestras in various countries, including the United States, Ireland, Germany, and Venezuela. Currently, his music is published by Filarmonika, Tre Fontane, and Editorial Nacional.
