Prior to that, he held various senior vice president roles at American Express, including National Sales Director of the American Express Gold Card and Vice President of Sales for the United States for the American Express Corporate Card. He also served as a Senior Vice President at several companies, such as Shearson/American Express, Capital Credit Corporation, and Outsourcing Solutions Inc.

Mehta is a prolific author with three books on job search and career development to his credit. His latest, "Ace Your Job Search in Five Steps: Powerful Techniques for Building a Successful Career," offers actionable advice, insights, and a step-by-step framework for job seekers. Based on his personal experiences as a former job hunter, hiring manager, and recruiter, Mehta shares many powerful tips on assessing personal skills, preparing resumes and cover letters, identifying potential employers, job interviews, and evaluating job offers.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in Commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce and a Master of Arts in Human Resources from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management.
