- Enhancing the Orders subsystem to decouple the upstream (purchase, quote, billing) systems and the downstream (invoicing, finance, AIP) systems but creating a projection of historical events. This enables the 2 sides of the platform to evolve independently.* Upgrading the service versioning strategy from strongly coupled group versioning to loosely coupled Major.Minor version across services in the commercial purchase scope. This enabled our teams to be agile and ship incremental improvements at a faster velocity compared to shipping tightly coupled services every semester (6 months).* Created a system for Migrating millions of subscriptions from Legacy on-prem SQL Server based recurrence tracking system to cloud enabled distributed recurring order + entitlement tracking system. This enabled us to enable advanced scenarios for over 25M Xbox (and other subscriptions) unlocking $2B+ in revenue for Microsoft. * The migration system paved the path for migrating Office (50M+), OneDrive, MSN, and other subscriptions off the legacy systems.

Worked on Xbox Live services team to create scalable and distributed services to provide user agnostic content to several different clients including Xbox One, Xbox 360, Windows Phone and Windows 8/8.1.Worked on migrating existing services which use dedicated hardware to virtual machines hosted on commodity hardware. This migration involves making the service installation idempotent and repeatable. As part of moving the services to commodity hardware involves making service resilient to hardware and network failures, self-monitoring, self-repairing and able to alert on dependency issues.Worked on infrastructure to aggregate logs and performance counters across hundreds of virtual machines and creating scripts using Map-Reduce to aggregate common error conditions and performance bottlenecks

Manual Revenue Adjustment Forms: Designed and developed InfoPath based solution for manual revenue adjustment. Created tool to read data from XML forms stored on SharePoint and shred the XML into individual fields to store into SQL Server database using a mapping file which was specifically designed for this tool. This tool provides the flexibility to change the form or database and not have to update the tool to populate the database. The mapping file uses XPath to map XML to database columns. Developed tool to update domain data stored in database to an XML file so as to permit disconnected operation of the InfoPath solution.PPA Web Application: Designed and developed complete secure web application for use as an internal tool for Microsoft's Worldwide Incentive Compensation team using <a href="http://ASP.Net">ASP.Net</a> and SQL server from ground up. This included analyzing the requirements, designing the database for security and user data, creating web forms for User and Admin operations, creating store procedures, DTS package, SQL jobs to update information from HR system. The web application is hosted using IIS with security implemented using windows integrated authentication. The system uses an XML based configuration file and is implemented using modular components that can be reused and modified with little or no change to the rest of the system.
