Curtis Barbre is an accomplished engineer, industrial designer and inventor with a decade of experience under his belt. His background includes design engineering of complex assemblies, CAD/CAM, managing diverse teams, design for manufacture, and PCB layout, among others. Barbre has strong experience in mechanical prototypes, PCB layout, experiment design and analysis, and 2D and 3D design sketches. Barbre has worked on a diverse range of projects, from R&D-driven consumer technology to consulting startups on the development of medical and consumer devices.

Barbre holds an MS in Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical and Medical from NYU Tandon School for Engineering, as well as a BID in Industrial Design, Industrial and Product Design from Pratt Institute. He has held lead mechanical engineering positions at Tarform Electric Motorcycles and was previously a product engineer at CTRL-labs and a senior mechanical engineer at Pensa.

Before that, Barbre worked as a research associate at Translational Neuroengineering Lab and as a national science foundation research fellow at MicroParticle PhotoPhysics Lab (MP3L). His previous experience also includes design engineering positions as a machinist at Ferra Designs Inc and as a fabricator at amorphic robot works.
