Curt Rice

Dr. Curt Rice is a distinguished academic and leader in the fields of Gender Equality, Open Access, Women in Academia, Affirmative Action, University Leadership, Women in Leadership, and Gender Issues in Higher Education.
He holds a PhD in Linguistics from The University of Texas at Austin and has completed his BA in Philosophy at Augsburg College as well as studies in Philosophy and Linguistics at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.
Dr. Rice has held prominent positions such as Rector (President) at the NMBU - Norwegian University of Life Sciences, Leader of Norway's Gender Balance in Research Committee, Rector at OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University, and Rector at Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences.
His prior roles include being a Fellow at the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study, serving as a Representative for permanent faculty on the university board at the University of Tromsø, and heading the Board at the Current Research Information System in Norway (CRIStin).
With a background as a Pro Rector, Professor, Researcher, and Associate Professor at various universities, Dr. Rice brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the academic sphere.
