Cristina Juesas is the Communications Manager at Fundación iO, an organization focused on infectious diseases, emerging zoonoses, and tropical medicine. She holds a university degree in science communication and is also a diploma holder in tourism, complemented by a postgraduate degree in quality management. Her professional background includes roles as a corporate communication consultant, specializing in speaker preparation and digital transformation.1
In addition to her role at Fundación iO, Juesas is an associate professor at DigiPen Institute of Technology, where she teaches courses on communication, audiovisual language, ethics, and business. She has been actively involved in organizing TEDx events since 2015 and has conducted workshops for several TED conferences. Furthermore, she has contributed to communication guidelines for social media for both the Basque Government and the University of the Basque Country.1
Juesas is recognized for her leadership in Toastmasters International, having served as District Director for the Southwest Europe district during the 2020-2021 term and earning the title of Distinguished Toastmaster twice.
