Craig Dun

Craig Dun is a freelance consultant with a focus on climate change, carbon management, and sustainability, boasting extensive experience in carbon reporting, accounting, and developing management plans.

With previous experience working at Sustainable Scotland Network, Craig specialized in mandatory public sector climate change reporting, overseeing a network of 180 bodies and providing training, guidance, and support to ensure timely submission of reports.

Craig's key skills encompass climate change reporting inclusive of QA and auditing, carbon management planning, adaptation, renewable energy policy, and developing climate change governance models.

His early career as an Excel spreadsheet modeller equipped him with the proficiency to create advanced, tailored Excel tools aiding organizations in tracking carbon usage, managing reduction projects, and monitoring carbon targets.

Academically, Craig holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Applied Mathematics from Glasgow University and a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Mechanical Engineering with Merit from the University of Strathclyde.

He has worked in various capacities at organizations such as South Pole, Simply Sustainable, CLD Carbon, Keep Scotland Beautiful, Ricardo-AEA, and AEA Technology.
