Craig Alguire is a seasoned technical artist and 3D developer with a diverse background in both indie and AAA games. With a strong passion for emerging technology and research and development (R&D), Craig has honed his skills over the years.
During his tenure as Technical Director (TD) at 3Di Solutions, Craig gained valuable experience before transitioning to the Visual Effects (VFX) team at Ubisoft Toronto. His contributions were notable in major titles like Splinter Cell Blacklist and Far Cry 4, alongside involvement in pre-production for an upcoming game.
Craig's expertise extends to working on innovative projects involving massive touchscreens, gesture technology, and augmented reality for real-time 3D games, TV, and installations. He has also ventured into education, teaching game design and the Unreal Engine since 2008, nurturing the talents of future game developers.
In his role as CTO and Co-Founder at Quantum Capture, Craig played a pivotal part in designing a cutting-edge 3D scanning system and asset production pipeline. This system excels in generating photorealistic real-time graphics, with a specific emphasis on crafting lifelike digital humans for Virtual Reality (VR) experiences.
Craig Alguire's academic background includes studying 3D Game Art and Design at George Brown College, as well as Multimedia Design and Production at Fanshawe College. His diverse experience spans across various prestigious organizations such as Centennial College, Quantum Capture, Ubisoft Toronto, 3Di Solutions, Varitech Gaming, and Copperlen IMA, showcasing his versatile skill set and adaptability in different roles.
