Council Change

Council Change is a network of organizations dedicated to pursuing climate opportunities through collaboration in the City of San Francisco.

The Business Council on Climate Change (BC3) was established to engage various sectors in urban life for climate action, utilizing a coalition that extends beyond the government.

BC3, based in the San Francisco Department of Environment, consists of businesses, government agencies, non-profits, and foundations working together to achieve local climate goals.

Their projects include promoting electric vehicle adoption, providing feedback on climate action plans, and creating sustainable tenant engagement toolkits, among others.

Members of BC3 exchange ideas, case studies, tools, and best practices for environmental sustainability, driving economic growth and social well-being in the community.

With a membership exceeding 100 companies, BC3 aims to set a model that can be emulated by other cities seeking to combat climate change.
