With over 15 years of experience, he leads the White Collar Defense and Government Investigations practice group at Nelson Mullins, consisting of a team of 25+ lawyers with diverse legal backgrounds covering a wide geographical area.

Cory Manning holds a JD from the University of Iowa College of Law and a BA in Political Science and Government, Magna cum laude from the University of Northern Iowa.

His expertise includes conducting numerous internal and regulatory investigations for corporate boards on various misconduct allegations such as government procurement fraud, securities fraud, insider trading, and discriminatory employment practices.

Prior to joining Nelson Mullins, he served as a Litigation Attorney at Cooley LLP and Ness, Motley, Loadholt, Richardson & Poole (now Motley Rice), and as a Law Clerk to The Hon. Robert M. Parker (Ret.) at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
