Corien Staels

Corien Staels is a professional dedicated to using airflow technology to address heat and moisture concerns for wheelchair users and to raise awareness about heat, moisture, and relative humidity in seating solutions.

She holds a Master of Science (MSc) in International Business and Entrepreneurship with Distinction from The University of Glasgow, a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Fashion Technology - Buying and Product Management with a grade of 9/10 from Amsterdam Fashion Institute, and has completed an Exchange program in Business and Management with High Distinction at Queensland University of Technology.

Corien Staels is currently the Managing Director of WheelAir and has previously served as the Managing Director of Staels Design LTD. Her experience includes roles such as Guest Lecturer at the University of Glasgow, Community Coordinator at Kairos Society, Enterprise Fellow at Royal Society of Edinburgh, Innovation Research and Strategy at Accenture, and positions at companies like Sweet Protection AS and SMOVE B.V. in product design and research and development.

She also held the role of Team Captain at Direct Dialogue Fundraising (DDF), showcasing her leadership skills and community engagement.
