Corey Goodman

Corey Goodman was a tax partner at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP from 2016 to 2021.12 He specialized in advising clients on a broad spectrum of federal income tax matters, including U.S. and international M&A, joint ventures, spinoffs, bankruptcy reorganizations, refinancings, and cross-border and internal restructurings.13

Goodman joined Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP as a partner in their Tax practice in New York on November 1, 2021.13 He is recognized as an "Up and Coming" tax lawyer in New York by Chambers USA and a "Next Generation Partner" in Tax by Legal 500 US.13

Prior to becoming a partner at Cleary Gottlieb, Goodman was an associate at the firm from 2007 to 2015.4 He received his J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation from NYU School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Cornell University.13
