Consuelo Valverde is an accomplished entrepreneur-turned-venture capitalist with a diverse educational background. With two Masters in Science and a Ph.D. in Genomics (albeit a dropout), Valverde is paving the way in the tech industry. She's the Founder and Managing Partner of SV LATAM Fund, the first VC fund born in Silicon Valley with a unique focus on Latin America, investing in groundbreaking technologies.

Valverde founded her first tech company at 21 - a computer manufacturing company, followed by an IT training center, and a software development company. She's also the founder of a science museum, an innovation center, a science magazine, a TV, and podcast science series and a business coaching company. She co-founded ZFunction University and co-chairs the Science and Technology Commercialization Subcommittee of the "Mexico United States Entrepreneurship & Innovation Council."

Valverde's credentials are impressive. She studied a Fellowship in Innovation Investment at Kauffman Fellow Program Class 19, M.Sc. in Science Entrepreneurship at Cass Business School London, England, and a graduate course in Genomic Applications, Genomic Medicine & Bioinformatics from the Consortium for the Institute of Genomic Medicine. She also holds a Masters in Science in Computer Science from Tecnológico de Monterrey, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Miami and has studied at Stanford University and the Kauffman Fellow Program Class 19.

Valverde holds many positions and has several accomplishments to her name. Among them was the grant of the O-1 Visa, "Aliens with Exceptional Abilities" by the US government, and the "Distinguished Engineer" award from the IEEE in Mexico, among other awards. She sits on the board of several organizations, including Encellin, Oyster Financial, Inc., and Ares Materials Inc.
