Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at Florida Gulf Coast University
Dr. Colleen Robb is an accomplished professional currently holding the position of assistant professor at the School of Entrepreneurship at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU).
With a rich academic background, Dr. Robb has served in various roles at different prestigious institutions. She was the founding associate director for Florida International University's Pino Entrepreneurship Center, responsible for creating academic and outreach programs, managing center operations, and guiding entrepreneurs in raising capital.
Dr. Robb has extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, having worked with organizations like MedShare International, the University of Cincinnati, and Best Buddies International.
She has also contributed to the entrepreneurial ecosystem by working with start-ups across different industries such as athletics, cosmetics, manufacturing, retail, and technology.
In addition to her academic and nonprofit experience, Dr. Robb has been involved in teaching at Nova Southeastern University and DeVry's Keller Graduate School of Management.
She has also worked internationally, notably in South Africa as the lead faculty advisor for Oklahoma State University's Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Program, where she mentored student teams working with historically disadvantaged entrepreneurs in Cape Town.
Dr. Robb holds a Doctorate of Economics and Business Administration from Abo Akademi University in Finland, an MBA in Entrepreneurship, and a BFA in Theatre from Florida International University.
Her current role at FGCU involves serving on various committees and contributing to the growth of entrepreneurship education and research.
