Colleen Finney

Colleen Finney is a dedicated individual currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Media at the University of Kentucky.

She began her academic journey at Kent State University before finding her fit at the University of Kentucky.

With a background in journalism and a strong focus on broadcast, Colleen has gained valuable experience in various roles such as Producer, Anchor/Co-Anchor, Sports at University of Kentucky Student News and Radio Reporter at WRFL 88.1 FM.

Her passion for storytelling extends beyond traditional journalism as seen in her positions as a former Blog Writer at KRNL Fashion & Lifestyle Magazine and a former Content Creator at The Odyssey.

Colleen has also shown her versatility and dedication through roles in different organizations such as an Intern at Lexington Emergency Management, a former Athlete at Nike, and a former Sales Associate at Ann Taylor.

Her commitment to community health and engagement is evident through her previous roles as a Community Health Manager at The Odyssey and a Lifeguard at London Municipal Pool.

With a solid foundation in writing and reporting, Colleen has excelled in various media-related positions showcasing her skills in broadcasting, writing, and multimedia content creation.
