Colin Hurd

Colin Hurd is a visionary leader in the agriculture, industrial, and heavy machinery sector, driving innovation and automation in the industry.

In 2022, Colin orchestrated a merger of two prominent autonomy companies to establish MACH, where he currently serves as the CEO.

His journey in revolutionizing the sector began in 2016 with the founding of Smart Ag, a company that pioneered aftermarket driverless systems for tractors.

Under his guidance, Smart Ag flourished and was eventually acquired by Raven Industries in 2019, marking a significant milestone in autonomous technology.

Following the acquisition of Raven Industries by CNH Industrial in 2021, the technologies from Smart Ag have become integral components of CNH's autonomy products.

Colin's entrepreneurial spirit also shone through with the invention of TrackTill, a product aimed at reducing soil compaction, which was later licensed to Yetter Manufacturing.

Beyond his entrepreneurial ventures, Colin plays a crucial role in various organizations, including serving as the Co-director of the Ag Startup Engine, a Board Member at Jackrabbit Equipment, and Chairman of the Board at Haber Technologies.

Colin's educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Studies and Business, with a stellar 4.0 GPA, from Iowa State University.
