Colin Burgess

Colin Burgess is a celebrated author, historian, and space industry specialist with a passion for exploring the vast reaches of the universe. Born on April 3, 1947, in Sydney, Australia, Burgess developed an interest in the space industry at a young age, which continued into adulthood. With over 40 years of experience writing articles and books on the history of space exploration, Burgess is regarded as an authority in the field.

Burgess attended Sussex University, where he earned a degree in History and English Literature. He later went on to become a teacher before pursuing a career in the space industry. Throughout his career, Burgess has worked on several NASA projects, including the Skylab space station program and the Space Shuttle program.

As an author, Burgess has written numerous books, including "Footprints in the Dust: The Epic Voyages of Apollo, 1969-1975," "The First Soviet Cosmonaut Team," and "Into That Silent Sea: Trailblazers of the Space Era, 1961-1965." He is also a member of several organizations, including The British Interplanetary Society and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. In 2009, Burgess was inducted into the International Astronautics Federation Hall of Fame.
