Colin Burgess is a celebrated author, historian, and space industry specialist with a passion for exploring the vast reaches of the universe. Born on April 3, 1947, in Sydney, Australia, Burgess developed an interest in the space industry at a young age, which continued into adulthood. With over 40 years of experience writing articles and books on the history of space exploration, Burgess is regarded as an authority in the field.
Burgess attended Sussex University, where he earned a degree in History and English Literature. He later went on to become a teacher before pursuing a career in the space industry. Throughout his career, Burgess has worked on several NASA projects, including the Skylab space station program and the Space Shuttle program.

In 2009, Burgess was inducted into the International Astronautics Federation Hall of Fame.
