Codrin Popa
Vice-President of the Computer Science Society at University of Bristol
Codrin Popa is a Computer Science student with a keen interest in progress and innovation. He actively participates in competitions and hackathons, boasting first place in the NASA Space Settlement Design Contest and a Highly Commended award in the ARM Hackathon. Codrin is particularly enthusiastic about computer architecture and dedicates time to studying seminal works like Hennessy's and Patterson's Computer Organization and Design, in addition to taking online courses on Advanced Computer Architecture.
Apart from academic pursuits, Codrin collaborates with friends on exciting electronic projects, including a robotic arm, a virtual piano, and his solo venture of creating a fabulous disco tie. As the Computer Science Society Vice-president, he is deeply involved in organizing workshops, technical talks, hackathons, and panel discussions focusing on well-being.
Codrin's educational background includes studying High School with a Mathematics and Advanced Computer Science profile at the National College Andrei Saguna, followed by pursuing MEng in Computer Science at the University of Bristol.
