Daniel Landry, AICP, CNUa

Daniel Landry is a seasoned community design and planning professional with a deep passion for health equity and the impact of design on people's lives. He is a graduate of the University of Ottawa, with a Bachelor of Science in Leisure Studies, and a Master's Degree in Architecture from the University of Miami. His career spans decades, and he has held various positions such as Directeur, Planification communautaire at Ville d'Hudson - Town of Hudson, and Consultant en urbanisme - Projets spéciaux at Town of Hudson - Ville d'Hudson.

Daniel's interest in health equity and design stems from his early experiences volunteering at a nursing home where his grandmother resided, and from working with the National Capital Commission. He became one of the founding members of the Research and Educational Centre on Therapeutic Recreation at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières and has worked on numerous public health projects promoting sustainable environments that improve people's quality of life.

In addition to his previous degree in Leisure Studies, Daniel has added studies in Architecture and Planning, making him a strong advocate for vibrant and inclusive communities. He is a member of the Congress for the New Urbanism and holds the accreditation of a CNU urbanist. Daniel has also worked as a freelance consultant on urban planning and design.
