Clive Nattrass
Programme Manager NHPower, and founder of the Carbon and Energy Fund
Clive Nattrass is the Programme Manager at NHPower, a collaborative initiative aimed at decarbonizing the NHS estate. He was appointed to this role by a taskforce comprising representatives from the government, the Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management (IHEEM), and the NHS. Nattrass is responsible for designing and implementing strategies to help the NHS achieve its net zero targets in fossil fuel consumption, with a focus on facilitating knowledge sharing and resource collaboration among the highest fossil fuel-consuming NHS trusts.12
Before his current position, Nattrass founded and led the Carbon and Energy Fund, which focuses on energy infrastructure improvements within the NHS. His extensive background in energy management and sustainability has positioned him as a key figure in the NHS's efforts to transition to more sustainable practices.13 Under his leadership, NHPower aims to support NHS trusts in developing heat decarbonization plans, understanding new technologies, and navigating procurement routes for sustainable energy solutions.1
