Cleo Pahlmeyer
President at Pahlmeyer Winery
Cleo Pahlmeyer is the daughter of Jayson Pahlmeyer, founder of Pahlmeyer Winery.12 She was appointed president of Pahlmeyer Winery in 2017, 30 years after her father founded the company.4 Cleo has a Master's degree from Sotheby's Institute of Art in London and is passionate about continuing her father's legacy of making world-class wines that are distinctly Napa Valley.1
Before joining the family business, Cleo pursued her love of art history on the East Coast and in London.3 She is married to Jamie Watson, and they have three children: Violet, James Theodore (Teddy), and Maeve.1
In her role as president, Cleo's major task is to set a vision for the company, which aligns closely with her father's original vision of making world-class wines that are distinctly Napa Valley and California.1 She is focused on maintaining the winery's high standards while also looking to innovate and ensure the company's continued success in the future.1
In 2019, E. & J. Gallo Winery purchased Pahlmeyer Winery, including the Pahlmeyer and Jayson by Pahlmeyer brands.2 However, Cleo Pahlmeyer continues to run the Wayfarer brand and Wayfarer Vineyard, which were not part of the sale.2 Currently, her LinkedIn profile lists her as Proprietor & GM of Wayfarer Vineyard.5
