Clemente (Clem) Izurieta is a seasoned CTO at Authors A.I. and a Computer Science professor with over 15 years of experience in coding and design. He is deeply passionate about enhancing software systems' quality through precise measurements, particularly focusing on the modeling and evolution of structural and behavioral aspects of software design patterns. At Montana State University, Clem serves as the director of the Software Engineering Laboratory (SEL), dedicated to advancing cutting-edge research for system quality enhancement and grooming aspiring students in the field. He has spearheaded the Software Factory within SEL, collaborating with partners to nurture a pedagogical approach for prototype development in startup settings, fostering entrepreneurial spirit. Clem further engages in interdisciplinary ventures with humanities and environmental sciences professors to explore diverse projects. Clem's expertise spans across Software Quality, Technical Debt, as well as Decay, Rot, and Grime in software systems and design patterns.
