Clarence Tan

Clarence Tan is a versatile entrepreneur, educator, and advocate for exponential technologies based in the Asia Pacific region. He is an MBA holder from the University of Southern California, with various other qualifications from Bond University, University of Hawaii at Manoa, La Salle Klang, and Manhattan College. Tan’s expertise spans electrical engineering, human-computer interface and artificial neural networks, with a focus on finance and entrepreneurship.

Tan serves as an Ambassador for Singularity University in the Asia Pacific region and has served as an Entrepreneur in Residence Fellow at the Silicon Lakes accelerator. He has also been a Board Advisor/Global Ambassador at OpenExO, an Advisor at REDi Ai, and a Mentor at ilab Accelerator. Tan has been an Angel Investor at Austanco Pty Ltd and a Member at Angels Institute. He is also a former Adjunct Professor at Griffith University and Bond University.

Tan has founded and served in senior positions at various companies, including Dr CT Pty Ltd, Bond Wireless, Coastalcoms, and PUML Fitness for Health, Data for Rewards. He has also held strategic executive roles at Citibank N.A. and Citibank NA- Investment Banking, Strategic Positioning/Technical Trading Unit.

Tan brings an extensive background in finance, entrepreneurship, and exponential technologies to his advisory and advocacy roles. He has been a member of the Business and AI/Robotics Advisory Board at Lifeboat Foundation, and an ambassador for ExO Works and Singularity University. His current focus is on serving as a Principal at Exponential Positive Impact Capital (EPIC), a venture capital firm investing in startups leveraging exponential technology for positive impact.
