Clare Pope

Clare Pope, a PhD candidate in the Department of History at the University of California, Riverside, has a wealth of teaching experience and curriculum development skills. A passionate historian, Pope completed an MA in History and has since instructed college-level writing intensive and digital courses. She particularly excelled as a mentor in programs for freshman students at risk of leaving the university within their first year. Her ability to communicate learning objectives effectively, evaluate teaching strategies, and collaborate with colleagues has made her a valuable advisor to young scholars. Pope is adaptable, and her excellent research and writing skills have enabled her to synthesize large amounts of information from multiple scholarly sources efficiently.

Pope is dedicated to educating a diverse public, and she has over four years of experience developing curriculum for students from diverse backgrounds.
