Jennifer Dukarski, CIPP/US

Jennifer Dukarski is a Lecturer at the University of Michigan Law School and an attorney specializing in emerging technology, media, intellectual property, privacy, and cybersecurity. She has been a faculty member since January 2022 and also serves as a shareholder at Butzel Long, a prominent law firm where she has worked since 2011. Her practice focuses on the intersection of technology and communications, addressing legal issues related to digital media, vehicle safety, and data privacy, among others.1

Dukarski holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude, and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the same university, graduating summa cum laude. She has also taken courses at Harvard Law School related to copyright law.1

In addition to her legal practice, Dukarski has a background in engineering, having worked in high-level quality management roles with Tier 1 automotive suppliers. She is recognized for her contributions to the tech industry, being named one of the "30 Women Defining the Future of Technology" in 2020 by Warner Communications. Her accolades also include being named a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers and receiving recognition as one of the "Women in the Law" in Michigan.1
