Cindy Cooper

Cindy Cooper is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in retail, technology, public relations, and branding.

Currently serving as a Senior Administrative Assistant at Santa Clara University's Retail Management Institute, Cindy supports faculty and the associate director in their work with students in the Retail Studies Program.

Cindy's retail experience includes owning a Main Street shop and holding management roles at well-known companies like I. Magnin & Co., Ralph Lauren, and Restoration Hardware.

With over 20 years in technology public relations, Cindy has been involved in launching industry innovations for both Fortune 500 companies and disruptive start-ups in consumer electronics, networking hardware, and security software.

She has also ventured into entrepreneurship by running her own Social & Branding/PR agency, Casita C, which specialized in technology, performing arts/non-profits, fundraising, and small lifestyle retailers.

In terms of education, Cindy studied at Santa Clara High School and pursued Music History, Literature, and Theory at Humboldt State University.

Her extensive organizational involvement includes serving on the Board of Directors at the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus and working as a Brand Strategist at Taproot Foundation.

Throughout her career, Cindy has held various roles such as Principal at Casita C, handling social media strategy and writing, and working in public and media relations at notable companies like Sling Media, Check Point Software Technologies, and 3Com.

She has also worked in marketing and communications at companies like Sony Electronics and IXYS, showcasing her versatility and expertise in the field.
