Christopher C. Young

Christopher Young is a medical doctor with an extensive background in neurosurgery and neuroscience research. He has a passion for combining clinical practice and basic science research to further our understanding of brain disease processes and their global impact on healthcare.

Dr. Young graduated from the University of Cape Town with an MBChB in Medicine and went on to complete a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Neuroscience at the University of Oxford. He also studied MSc in Neuroscience at the same university. Dr. Young has worked at a range of hospitals and research institutions, including Brigham and Women's Hospital and the University of Washington, where he is now a Neurosurgery Resident.

In addition to his work in clinical practice, Dr. Young has been an Expedition Doctor for Operation Wallacea and a Community Service Doctor at Delft Hospital. He has also conducted research in stem cell research and education technology.
