Sanders Architecture
Christopher Sanders was the founder and principal of Sanders Architecture, a firm established in 2009 with a mission to create thoughtfully designed spaces that enhance the dignity of their inhabitants. He earned both his undergraduate and master's degrees in architecture from Texas A&M University, graduating in 1993 and 1997 respectively. Over his career, he amassed over 25 years of experience in architecture, contributing to various commercial, institutional, and residential projects across multiple states and countries, including Texas, Massachusetts, Maine, Germany, and Croatia.12
Sanders was known for his collaborative approach to design, emphasizing the importance of client involvement throughout the project lifecycle. His work included notable projects such as the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center Admissions Kiosk and several significant residential designs. He also played a vital role in shaping Austin's architectural landscape through his involvement with local organizations like the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and the Waller Creek Conservancy.123
Tragically, Christopher Sanders passed away unexpectedly in 2023 at the age of 52. His legacy continues through the firm he founded, which has since joined Overland Partners to further its mission of delivering sophisticated architectural design.14
