Contracted to provide agile leadership for an eCommerce team planning to deliver the first online shop onto Pearson's new eCommerce platform.  Using Lean Startup principles, worked with the busness to create the vision board and build a strong product backlog, while planning the team's agile process.  The project is currently on hold.  Additionally worked with the Online Sales team, providing BAU for the core eCommerce and Subscriptions applications. Provided agile leadership for an online digital media team of 5 to deliver functional updates to the underlying CRM for the Nature News online website. Worked closely with the online editorial publishing team to capture and prioritise new requirements, to build a strong product backlog, document user stories and track progress using JIRA.Responsible for facilitating the Scrum agile ceremonies, from daily stand-ups, sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives and sprint reviews to the business stakeholders.  Worked closely with the online editorial team to bridge the gap while the team were without a Product Owner, planning releases and providing a product road map.  Removed impediments for the team while also maintaining transparent tracking of progress using large information radiators and a team kanban wall.  Provided agile coaching and mentoring for the team, particularly around limiting WIP, the flow of stories and cycle times. Additionally worked with a second team providing BAU support for core platform services within <a href="http://Nature.com">Nature.com</a>.   Responsible for working with the team to set-up the team’s kanban process, as suited to a BAU environment. Leadership for an agile development team of four, successfully delivering an internal Dynamic Pricing Calculator web application for business lending to enable bankers to determine and optimise comparative pricing.Beyond the go-live date, assumed Project Management responsibilities, co-ordinating between the business and the BAU team in order to plan the roadmap for future releases and resource planning, in addition to conducting training and handover with the BAU team.

National Australia Bank

The Mortgage Automation Project (MAP) provides a service request management system for mortgage business services. This is a web-based application to manage service request queues, work items and service request document generation.As Development Manager for the MAP Wave 1.1 development team, provided day-to-day management of a combined team of onshore/offshore developers.  Tasks included assignment and monitoring of development activities, running estimation sessions, producing daily status reports to the ANZ Project Manager.  As the single point of contact for the dual development campuses in Melbourne and Bangalore, co-ordinated daily/ongoing communication with the Development Lead in Bangalore and the Project Manager in Melbourne, in order to report fully on the progress and status of each team.
