Christopher Nguan

Christopher Nguan is a highly accomplished medical professional with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in the field of urology, transplantation, and patient safety.

His academic journey includes studying Molecular Biology at Western University, obtaining an Honours BSc in Microbiology and Immunology from Dalhousie University, and completing his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Dalhousie University as well.

Further expanding his expertise, Christopher pursued a Urology Certification through the Urology Residency Program at The University of British Columbia and also engaged in a Transplantation and MIS/Robotics Fellowship program at Western University. Additionally, he completed the Patient Safety Executive Development Program focusing on Patient Quality and Safety at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.

Christopher Nguan has held several significant roles in various organizations throughout his career. Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor at The University of British Columbia. Previously, he played key roles as the Chief Medical Officer and Co-Founder at COSMIC Medical, as well as a Board Member at Sonic Incytes. His leadership skills were also evident in his roles as the UBC Urology Postgraduate Training Program Director, Surgical Director of the Kidney Transplant Program at Vancouver General Hospital, and Director of AST Nephrology Fellowship Surgical Transplant at The University of British Columbia.

Christopher's clinical experience is extensive, ranging from his previous position as a Urologic Transplant Surgeon at Vancouver General Hospital to serving as the Chairperson of the UBC Clinical Research Ethics Board at The University of British Columbia.

Through his vast experience, Christopher Nguan has demonstrated a commitment to excellence in medical education, patient care, and research, making him a respected figure in the fields of urology and transplantation.
