Jan 2018 - Present:  New Implementations for a Banking Service Loan Tracker with various regional Banks(referenced below).June 2017 – July 2017:  Modification of Performance Insight’s Sales Intelligence Tool (Web-based), to conform to client bank’s security requirements.  Actions include: Upgrading password requirement size and complexity, restricting users so when they change their password, that they cannot use any of the last 10 passwords previously used, account lockout and unlocking functionality following 5 unsuccessful login attempts, and the addition of device authentication, where the devices a user logs in with are verified first prior to allowing login. For device authentication verification, a twelve-digit code is emailed to user to enter in at a verification page, which then enables a new device to be authentication for future logins to the system. Nov 2016 - Dec 2016:  Design, Development and implementation of a Loan Tracker system for a large bank.This project was designed to send alerts via email (also text eventually) to customers who have submitted a loan application with the bank.  An SSIS package runs daily to determine loans which have had a new status update on their loan, which then makes a call to an API service to send a message to the user.  HTML formatted messages were constructed, with unsubscribe/re-subscribe components and web browser versions of emails integrated as well.  July 2016 - Dec 2016:  Development and implementation of Performance Insight’s Sales Intelligence Tool for a large bank.  .Net MVC web application with Angular 1.x, and MS SQL 2008 and heavy use of SSIS package development.  The SSIS packages were primarily involved with handling ETL processes where data came from 3 separate banking sources, enabling rollups of sales data throughout various phases of the sales pipeline to be represented properly in reporting data.

Development of a web-based application for operations of a home warranty company, Dec 2016 – Present Brought on to this project to help complete the development and bring to production release (April 1st, 2017) a web-based application for handling all operations of a home warranty company.  This project is written in .Net 4.5.3 MVC, EF 6, with PostGresSQL at the database layer.  The major themes of the application revolve around Service Locations, Service Requests, Warranties and Contacts.  Accounting functionality has been incorporated, enabling the creation and management of Appointments, Invoices, and Account Balances.  GitLab is utilized for Project Mgmt., source code versioning control and continuous integration.Development of the next generation real estate web-based applications Real Smart Agent & Real Smart Broker, June 2015 – Nov 2016 Worked with a small team of software engineers to build the next generation of web-based applications designed for HomeSmart’s own Real Estate Agents and Brokers.  The current production application was written in Cold Fusion and is no longer updateable.  We are implementing a complete rewrite of these mission critical applications for the company in .Net 4.53, utilizing the MVC pattern for the administrative application (Broker), utilizing Entity Framework 6, MSSQL Server 2014, and Bootstrap.  For the Agent application, which will be more mobile intensive, we built a SPA solution with KnockoutJS for data binding, Bootstrap, and Web API for our Service layer.  We utilize our own GitLab environment for SCR and CI management, Jira for managing this project, its stories, tasks and bugs, and Slack for maintaining effective communication so we can maximize team productivity and collaboration.

Serving as a Senior .Net Developer/Consultant for Business & Decision North America, I had the pleasure to work on multiple clients on long-term projects, both in the private and public sector.  Clients included the Arizona Dept. of Education, Global Water Fathom (a water utility company), and most recently as part of the development team for Mi-Case (a wholly owned subsidiary of B&D) on an implementation of a new Offender Case Management System for the Arizona Dept. of Corrections.  Of special interest with this last project was the implementation of Windows Workflow Foundation 4.5 to create a more flexible and configurable solution that would allow for changes to business rules over time.  Summarizing the technologies I have used throughout my tenure with Business & Decision, I worked in the areas of web development, utilizing (but not limited to) <a href="http://ASP.NET">ASP.NET</a> 4.5, MVC, WCF, WF, and Entity Framework.  Azure was employed in the most recent project since the extended product development team included people in the UK, Spain, Tunisia, Belgium, as well as developers in the United States.  JavaScript framework experience across all frameworks most notably included JQuery, KnockoutJS, AngularJS, and Bootstrap.  Database platforms included SQL Server and Oracle.  Team Foundation Server 2010/2013 most often employed for source control and project task management, although one client made use of Jira and SVN.  I have always worked in latest edition of Visual Studio, and I have also made use of other development tools for productivity's sake.  These tools have included Resharper, Beyond Compare Pro, Snagit, LinqPad, JSFiddle, SQL Server Mgmt. Studio, Oracle SQL Developer and Oracle Data Modeler.

My impetus for taking on this role was having the opportunity to migrate an IBM mainframe ERP to MS Dynamics, and that is why I accepted the position.  I managed all aspects of technology across 35 locations and 7 states, utilizing various low cost cloud based services. Instituted a .Net based CMS and SharePoint 2007 to enhance collaboration and engagement for all employees and executives. Initiated a Business Process Mapping (BMP) project as part of a proposed migration to Microsoft Dynamics, which unfortunately was deferred when the economic downturn occurred in 2008. Still, I consider this experience beneficial in terms of understanding technology more from a macro viewpoint across an organization.  I negotiated a new strategic carrier agreement that allowed for easy migration to a VOIP system in the future without the need for any upfront costs. I was responsible for training and coaching employees on the use of new technologies.

At this SaaS provider of logistics-spend management solutions, I began developing with .Net (C#) back in 2000 when it was still in beta.  VB6 was used widespread in the development of in-house processes and utilities as well.  I shepherded a suite of 12 VB6 core component dlls for all aspects of high volume business processes, where I maintained version control and all bug fixes.  Developed and maintained a VB6 application for attaching relationships between freight bill information and scanned paper images, making them available to customers for online look up, as well as a generic .Net XML configuration based SQL data extraction utility.   Designed and developed an automated monitoring utility to identify websites that contained stale data, attempt to automatically refresh the data, and if not successful after reaching a threshold - to finally push an alert to Operations Dept. personnel to resolve.  From a relational database standpoint, I developed normalized SQL databases, created views, stored procedures and leveraged BCP for extracting large amounts of data.  Designed and developed a system for receiving data feeds as attachments and moving them to appropriate network locations for later parsing. This included pushing alerts to internal contacts via email. Also made myself visible to the customer, providing level I & II support for technologies as needed. Where possible, I documented, trained and transferred level I support to customer support and process operations teams.
