Christine Galavotti

Christine Galavotti is a Senior Program Officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where she joined in January 2018.1 She leads the Evidence and Learning Initiative for the Family Planning team, overseeing multidisciplinary research on contraceptive access, social and gender norms in reproductive decision-making, and improving family planning services.1

Prior to her role at the Gates Foundation, Dr. Galavotti held significant positions:

2. 22 years at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)1

Dr. Galavotti has received several awards for her work, including:
