Completed initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and progress notes for private and EI clients along with assessments summarizing the clients’ impairments/functional limitations and need for PT interventions and created personalized home exercise programs for each client. Treated infants and children up to 9 years of age with diagnoses of varying complexities.

Administered disability evaluations to assess patients’ current functional abilities, restrictions, severity of impairments, and need for accommodation to assist Physicians in making clinical decisions regarding their patients’ functional capacity. Researched and presented a case study to faculty and PT students on improving quality of life for individuals with metastatic cancer through PT and physical activity.

UI Health

Twelve-week clinical experience in an inpatient acute care setting. Independently performed initial evaluations and created an individualized plan of care while determining the best discharge location and intensity and duration of interventions.

Carle Foundation Hospital

Clinical experience in an outpatient pediatric, early intervention, and school setting. Implemented a variety of creative therapeutic interventions and adjusted accordingly based on patients’ response to activity. Worked and communicated with visually, hearing, and speech impaired children through tactile cues and demonstrating activities such as ascending and descending stairs, jumping, and navigating obstacle courses.  Treated patients with a variety of diagnoses including cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus, Williams syndrome, Down syndrome, autism, and spina bifida.

Milestone Therapy

Safeguarded, motivated, and assisted patients practicing exercises and functional activities under the direction of professional staff. Provided routine treatments, such as hot/cold packs, and other modalities such as ultrasounds and electrical stimulation. Answered phone calls and scheduled appointments for patients.
