Christina Isacson

Christina K. Isacson, Ph.D., is the Chief Business Officer at Magenta Therapeutics, a role she has held since January 2018. She joined Magenta in July 2016 and has been instrumental in overseeing the company's business development and strategic initiatives. Her responsibilities include portfolio strategy, program management, alliance management, and commercial strategy.13

Before her tenure at Magenta Therapeutics, Isacson was a principal at Third Rock Ventures, where she focused on new company formation and business development in the life sciences sector. She has also held operational roles at Ironwood Pharmaceuticals and has experience in venture capital through positions with Boston University’s Technology Development Fund and Accelerator Corp.12

Isacson holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, which underpins her approach to integrating scientific innovation with business strategy in the biotech industry. With nearly 20 years of experience in the field, she has been involved in creating and managing early-stage biotechnology companies, contributing significantly to the growth and success of firms like Magenta Therapeutics and Decibel Therapeutics.12
