Since October 2022, I have served as attorney responsible for liaising between the commercial procurement legal team and the privacy legal team at Pinterest.  This involves reviewing DPAs and escalating issues to the privacy-team as needed.  I act as the first "line of defense" on privacy issues for the commercial team, answering questions, redlining agreements, negotiating terms with vendors, and bringing DPAs to closure.  Tasks include being the primary attorney responsible for the SSC update in the fall of 2020 across all of the Pinterest procurement team's vendors, suggesting edits to and drafting templates, suggesting process improvements, and collaborating to achieve business-oriented results with an appropriate level of risk.

Prior to October 2022, I served as a member of the commercial legal team supporting procurement.  In that role, I supported the many business teams including benefits, recruiting, finance, corporate, D&I, facilities, and the development teams.  In addition, I managed projects that required a "high touch" and worked cross-functionally with employment legal, compliance, accounting, and info-security.  I set up a process for legal and security review of new technology tools provided to vendors and analyzed the license terms of each tool used by such teams.  I made suggestions to streamline the contracting process and updated contract templates.

I provide services to Pinterest through an employment agency called Magnit.  Prior to April 2023, I provided services to Pinterest through the staffing firm Axiom.

Tasks included signing up resale partners, supporting cross-functional initiatives, surfacing key metrics to help manage risk, and supporting large purchases of hundreds of millions of dollars of solar assets.  Instituted new contract review policies and put in place a robust contracts infrastructure.  Negotiated unique commercial exclusivity and incentive structures including equity based compensation, and aligned contract terms with operational requirements across the business.  Architected and implemented Saas based contracts management system.  Advised executives on and negotiated strategic deals including those with Comcast and National Grid.  Negotiated licensing agreements related to smart-home products. Managed commercial contracting activities at this leading mobile banking and mobile retail company. Notable customers included Bank of America, KeyBank, Zions, PNC Bank, and Starbucks. Tasks included setting department policies, serving up key contract metrics to executives, negotiating and drafting contracts with financial service providers, channel partners, vendors, and strategic FinTech partners resulting millions of dollars of revenue. Created and updated contract templates, counseled on SaaS and in-bound and out-bound licensing issues, managed source code escrow compliance, drafted commission agreements, negotiated commercial leases, created and ensured contracts approval policies were followed, created and updated negotiation playbooks, managed compliance tasks, drove and supported cross-department initiatives, maintained and improved contracts database, and designed and implemented contracts approval portal. Drafted corporate minutes, trust amendments, partnership amendments, memos on matters such as the principal residence gain exclusion, commercial appraisals, and property tax reassessment exemptions.
