Counsel to the General Counsel of Department of Defense

Christian Urrutia is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as Counsel to the General Counsel of the Department of Defense. Prior to his role at DoD, he specialized in international commercial arbitration, international investment arbitration, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and human rights litigation during his private practice. Christian has a robust educational background, with a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Michigan Law School, a Master of Arts (M.A.) in World Politics (International Relations) from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government with a focus on International Relations from the University of Iowa. He attended Alvirne High School in Hudson, NH, for his High School Diploma.
